Landmark Baptist Church Building Project

The priority at Landmark Baptist Church is on SPIRITUAL growth. As God's people grow in grace, others are reached as a result. Church growth necessitates building projects. Our building projects are not viewed with the Laodecian attitude of, "I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing (Rev. 3:17)". We place the emphasis on Christ and His word and not on money and buildings.

We have a long term goal for the eight acres that God has given us. Instead of building everything at once and going extremely in debt, we are building in phases. We have already finished the first two phases (fellowship hall, enlarged auditorium and nursery) with cash. We will borrow some money to help pay for our current phase which is the biggest project yet. This phase includes; Sunday School wing, 2 larger bathrooms, enlarged and renovated auditorium, and new front parking lot. Although we will have a mortgage, it is not a bondage situation in which we are barely making the payments. By God's grace we hope to have it paid off in five years.

The purpose of posting this picture of our new building is to let you know that God is building a local church in Locust Grove that believes the King James Bible and seeks to rightly divide it (II Tim. 2:15). We are not using the man-centered methods of the "contemporary" churches. The Lord is building our church through; witnessing, prayer, and Bible preaching and teaching.
